Sunrise is a specatuclar time of day in New York but it's much darker than sunset (no lights on in the buildings!) and much harder to shoot. While flying past One World Trade, I found this half-second moment where the new landmark is perfectly framed by the two older ones. It took three tries and three hair-pin turns over the harbor but we finally found the perfect distance and altitude to get this nearly impossible compostion just right...and in focus!
